Ryan Stevenson
10U Head Coach The Grizzlies welcome back Ryan for his second season with the organization. After stints as an assistant with the 2009 spring 11U team, and as manager of the 2009 fall 10U team, Ryan will continue working with the 2010 winter/spring 10U team. Ryan, a San Leandro native, graduated from Arroyo High School in 2001. He then started his post high school playing days in Hayward at Chabot College. Ryan was an immediate success earning all conference honors as an outfielder both his freshman and sophomore seasons, and was drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 35th round of the 2002 amateur baseball draft. Ryan ultimately decided to stay in school and continue his playing career at Lewis Clark State in Lewiston, Idaho. Following college he played for the Long Beach Armada of the Independent Golden Baseball League where he led the league in triples and finished fourth in rookie of the year balloting. For the past 3 seasons Ryan has competed for the St. George RoadRunners out of Utah. Stevenson is the last RoadRunner Original – he is the only player remaining from the inaugural 2007 Opening Day Roster. The two-time GBL All-Star outfielder set career-highs in almost every offensive category in 2008 including batting average (.348), home runs (18) and RBI (70).
